Seems a few of you were disappointed with PlayStation's most recent State of Play. There's no denying the best was saved for last, though. A really good look at Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and finally, a firm release date. The second part in the remake trilogy will launch exclusively on PS5 on February 29, 2023. If you haven't played Remake yet, or you want to catch up before Rebirth arrives, PlayStation is offering up a pretty sweet deal on a twin-pack right now.
Shortly after Thursday's State of Play came to a close, a Remake Intergrade and Rebirth twin pack went up on the PlayStation Store. A pretty neat idea for those who want to play both games, especially since the Remake half of your twin pack will be available to download and play as soon as you make the purchase. What makes the idea an even sweeter one is right now, the twin pack will cost you exactly the same as pre-ordering Rebirth all by itself.

That's right, $70 for Rebirth, or $70 for Rebirth with Remake Intergrade. That effectively means Remake is free right now to anyone pre-ordering Rebirth through the PS Store. Such a good deal that I almost feel silly for not capitalizing on it, but since I already own Remake Intergrade, it's not a deal that is going to benefit me. In fact, with Remake already installed on my PS5, trying to buy a second copy would probably just confuse my console.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake And Rebirth Twin Pack
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth launches on February 29, 2024, and will build on the first part of the story told in Remake. PlayStation is now selling Remake and Rebirth together as a twin pack so you can be fully caught up on the story so far ahead of the third and final part of the trilogy.
Although PlayStation's twin pack deal won't be around forever, you've got a little while to think about it if you're not sure you want a Game of the Year contender for no additional charge. Or if you don't have $70 to spend on a Rebirth pre-order right now. The deal will run until Rebirth launches on February 29, 2024. The minute the sequel's here, the price of the twin pack will increase to $100, so tell your friends thinking about jumping on the FF7 Remake bandwagon to do it now before it gets significantly more expensive.
If you're like me and you already own Remake Intergrade, there are a few Rebirth pre-order options available to you. Top of the pile is a Collector's Edition which comes with a rather nice-looking Sephiroth statue. Sure, it's not 19 inches of Venom, but hey, very few things are.
